Construct a subdivisional stage of a land estate including clearing vegetation, earthworks, walls, services and road pavement.
Tracc Civil was contracted to construct a subdivisional stage at Frasers Landing in Mandurah, with the result that the client has negotiated the following stages as well. The works ranged from clearing vegetation, earthworks, walls, services and road pavement.
One challenge was the existing trees and vegetation that were required to be maintained and protected. Multiple trees resided in the verge and impacted upon the services corridor.
The vegetation clearing required extended into the following stage area, and into die-back areas.
To protect and preserve the trees residing in the verge, Tracc opted to directional drill all the services that conflicted with the tree locations. Whilst saving the trees, this increased the duration of the works due to the many drill shots required.
To resolve the spreading of the dieback, Tracc segregated the clearing works into die-back and non-dieback areas, with a wash- down facility to clean machines moving from a die-back area.
