Bulk earthworks and construction of limestone retaining walls, sewer reticulation, stormwater drainage, utilities and roadworks.
The scope involved the clearing of trees and vegetation and bulk earthworks onsite as well as the construction of so far 10 civil stages. The civil stages included construction of limestone retaining walls; sewer reticulation; stormwater drainage; power installation; gas; NBN / Comms; water reticulation; and roadworks.
In addition, Tracc was engaged to install a Type 40 Sewer Pump Station to service the subdivision as well as a pressure main extending along Wattleup Road verge.
Due to Tracc’s performance and quality of the works, the client has negotiated all the subsequent stages of work with Tracc Civil.
The main challenge was with the dealing with the traffic on the existing Wattleup Road, which is a high volume road for the area, especially with the roads tying into this road.
In addition, Tracc was engaged to upgrade a section of Wattleup Road, which require a full pavement rebuild.
Tracc managed this by traffic management and reducing traffic down to one lane during the works.
Another challenge was installing the new services and sewer pressure main along Wattleup Road verge. Tracc drilled as much of this as possible to avoid road closures and damaging existing roads and verge vegetation. The pressure main also dog-legged around existing trees in the verge to protect them.
