Overview

Tracc Civil is providing the earthworks and roadworks for the construction of the road between Ellenbrook and Muchea.

Project Challenges

• Dust suppression

​

We recognized that management of dust is important especially in the drier summer months. It can be unpleasant living in close proximity to a construction site, and we’ve worked hard to minimise the impacts of dust overflow on surrounding residents. Some of the methods used to minimize this included:

• Hydromulch and Dustex

• Consistent scheduling of Water carts and cannons to wet down access tracks and surrounding site

• Efficient and effective dust monitoring to ensure construction dust is kept within the prescribed limits.

• Working with prevailing winds whenever possible which minimized opportunities for dust to blow off and onto surrounding properties and businesses.
